| Possible Home Vandalism Arrests |
(Tuesday, December 11, 2007) Gwinnett County Police Investigators received a phone call yesterday from a male who stated he believed his son was responsible for the numerous homes that were vandalized in the Brook Forest Subdivision over this past weekend.
A Lawrenceville man called police yesterday after he realized that his 13 year old son may have been responsible for the subdivision vandalism. He voluntarily brought his son to police headquarters yesterday afternoon to speak with detectives. The juvenile told police that he spent the night with a friend who lives in the Brook Forest subdivision.
After interviewing the man’s son, investigators may charge the 13 year old for the criminal activities that took place early in the morning on December 9, 2007. The juvenile told police that he spent the night with a friend who lives in the Brook Forest subdivision. Investigators will also attempt to interview the 13 year old friend that lives in the subdivision.
The juvenile could face up to 10 counts of misdemeanor Criminal Trespass and 2 counts of felony Criminal Damage to Property 2nd Degree. Criminal charges against the second juvenile may be a possibility. Neither juvenile has been criminally charged as of late.
There were 14 homes in all that incurred some type of damage. The vandalism ranged from some houses being egged and spray painted to vehicles being spray painted. Other homes had Christmas decorations that were cut and flower beds damaged. |
